Woven with meaning

The fabrics in our Resort collection are the result of a working economy, fair trade policies, and the artistry of a small village in Bangladesh. Handwoven from 100% recycled and all-natural cotton, these fabrics support an entire community, securing livelihoods and strengthening families. Their craftsmanship is a call to create with intention, to choose beauty with purpose, and to design garments meant to endure a lifetime.

A serendipitous collaboration

In November 2023, a connection with a fabric designer led me to a rare invitation—to join a select group of designers worldwide in experimenting with handwoven, recycled fabrics. It was a chance to explore craft, modernity, tradition, and urbanism. I was inspired to create pieces that celebrate the intersection of sustainability and quiet luxury; nature and city. Humanity.

Handwoven heritage

Crafted in a small village in Bangladesh under Fair-Trade conditions, these fabrics represent security, dignity, and the continuation of a long and important tradition. The patterns and textures reflect the community that made them–a testament to skill and the sustainability of their craft.

Enduring with care

The fabric in this collection is crafted from recycled 70% cotton and recycled 30% polyester; 100% cotton; recycled nylon and recycled polyester mesh. It is naturally soft and breathable. For comfort and fit, each yard has been pre-washed. To maintain the integrity of this high-quality, handcrafted fabric, refer to your piece to learn about care.

Recycled Mesh — Functional, Modest, Effortless in Movement, and Made for Styling Fun

When working with our finest cottons and the lightest colors in our recycled fibers, we wanted to offer a sense of modesty without adding structure or weight. Instead of creating a traditional lining, we envisioned a separate, effortless layer — one that would complement our recycled and natural fabrics while expanding how each piece could be worn.

The idea came from our studio shelves: a soft, pliable mesh with no structure of its own, just gentle coverage and movement. From there, we researched recycled options that met our standards for comfort, durability, and environmental responsibility.

After extensive testing, we selected two recycled meshes sourced from Canada:

  • 92% Recycled Polyester Mesh, 8% Spandex

  • 95% Recycled Nylon, 5% Spandex

These layers are intentionally designed for longevity — not only to support the Resort pieces today, but to give them a second and even third life. With these slips, pieces that might feel “resort‑only” can move off the beach and into everyday environments and experiences: city streets, casual gatherings, travel days, or layered looks that evolve with the wearer.

They can be worn as slips, cover‑ups, over tops, or paired with skirts — soft, adaptable layers that extend the usefulness and versatility of your wardrobe while supporting purposeful, low‑impact design.
